It is not an afternoon tea without scones


 2 cups self-raising flour

pinch salt

60g butter or ½ cup of cream

¾ cup milk

1 tablespoon sugar


Mix ingredients together until a soft dough is formed. Cut into rounds and place on a greased baking tray. Bake in a hot oven for 10-12 minutes.

Serve warm with jam and whipped cream. The best afternoon tea cakes ever!
